The Holy Scripture reveals spiritual realities. What is meant by this quote? It means that the Bible contains spiritual truths that are hidden in plain sight. For example, when God created man, he made him to be his image and likeness. Now, let us turn to Genesis 1:26-27:And God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” The above verse tells us clearly that man was created in God’s image.

Man was created by God in order to rule over all other animals on this earth. This verse also tells us that animals will not be able to rule over man because man is in God’s image. Man was created to rule over animals just like animals were created to rule over man! Therefore, it is clearly revealed in this scripture that animals do not have souls or spirits! The fact that they are not considered as having souls or spirits clearly indicates that they are not human beings!
